Three more key Colorado Buffaloes players missing from spring roster

By now, everyone’s heard about Isaiah Augustave leaving the Colorado football program. But tucked behind that headline are three more names missing from the Buffaloes’ spring roster—and these aren’t just scout team guys.

Keaten Wade was starting to look like a real difference-maker down the stretch in 2024. After sitting out the first half of the season, he racked up 7.5 tackles for loss and four sacks over the final six games. That’s serious heat off the edge for a Buffs defense that was already short on reliable pressure.

Then there’s Savion Riley, who quietly did his job in nine games last season, splitting time between special teams and safety. Not flashy, but dependable. The kind of guy every defense needs in the second unit. Depth matters, and Riley gave them that.

Sam Hart’s absence might be the least surprising, but it’s still telling. The former Buckeye transfer only caught one pass in six games, and that went for negative yards. But with Colorado’s tight end room thin, you’d expect him to at least stick around for competition.

We don’t know if these guys are transferring, hurt, or simply off the grid for now. But it’s a reminder: in the Coach Prime era, the Buffs are always moving. And if you blink, the roster might just look a little different tomorrow.
