Recently, Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders made headlines when a security personnel member near him stated that Sanders’ life had been in danger and required extensive security measures.

Now, his star WR/CB Travis Hunter has joined him in needing that.

Hunter has been exposed to extensive social media backlash in the wake of the publicity of his relationship with his fiance, who many believe has been less than faithful to him. The hate got so intense, though, that Hunter not only removed himself from social media entirely but has now hired security.

“All the haters are messing up for my supporters,” Hunter stated, per TMZ Sports. “I rarely take pictures now because you don’t know what they’re going to do with it. … People are weird. People scare me because you never know who’s got good intentions and it can always go left at any moment.

“But it’s all good, because I’ve got Frank the Tank. I got a new security guard. Y’all will get to meet him soon. His name is Frank. Frankenstein.”

“Frank the Tank” is admittedly unlikely to protect Hunter from the hurtful comments and DM’s he’s received -- hopefully, he’ll prove to help Hunter be safe as he prepares for the 2025 draft.

Hunter went on to provide some advice to other, younger players who could quickly find themselves in his shoes.

“Don’t get on social media to go off off” he said. “That’s why I dumbed down what I show people now. I don’t be on social media as much. … That would probably be, [what] I wish I realized earlier so it didn’t get to this point where I don’t gotta be on the apps.”

Hunter is a once-in-a-generation talent, but unfortunately, he's receiving the generational hate that oftentimes accompanies being one.
