Wednesday, CBS analyst Chris Trapasso shared his 2025 NFL mock draft -- and it’s one of the crazier ones you’ll ever see.
For starters, Trapasso has the Raiders trading up to land Shedeur Sanders with the first overall pick.
“We cannot rule out the possibility of the Raiders -- and new minority owner Tom Brady -- making an aggressive push to draft Shedeur Sanders,” says Trapasso. “There's a chance Sanders' connection with Brady will make it too dicey for Las Vegas to simply hope and wait for him to fall to No. 6 overall.”
The main reason this seems improbable, though, is the Titans’ need for a QB as well. That's something Trapasso almost entirely disregards in his draft, as he’s got them drafting EDGE Abdul Carter from the sixth spot.
Additionally, Trapasso’s draft highlights Heisman winner Travis Hunter falling to the fourth spot, currently occupied by the New England Patriots.
“Travis Hunter to the Patriots would be tremendous for everyone involved. New England gets a ridiculous two-way player, and Hunter can be featured prominently right away," Trapasso wrote.
Admittedly, this draft also features Jalen Milroe as the third pick to the Giants in a move that even Trapasso describes as a “Semi nightmare for the Giants.”
All things said, I would be absolutely floored if any of these scenarios come to pass, but it’d be unfair to rule it out completely. Trapasso’s logic, though interesting, poses a few interesting points, but I wouldn’t expect to see anything like this.
