Colorado is looking to win its first bowl game in two decades on Saturday. The Buffs will play BYU in the Alamo Bowl from San Antonio, Texas.

The last time Colorado won a bowl game was back in the 2004 Houston Bowl, as QB Joel Klatt threw for 333 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdowns as the Buffs clawed back from nine points down to defeat UTEP 33-28.

As we all know, this will be Deion Sanders' last run with his sons, Shedeur and Shilo, in a CU uniform. Heisman winner Travis Hunter will also be playing his last game for the Buffs before taking his talents to the NFL.

It has been a crazy last few weeks for Colorado's two pro-bound, future cornerstones. Both Shedeur and Hunter gathered major accolades, highlighted by Hunter winning the coveted Heisman Trophy in New York City.

There is no doubt the contributions made by these two men over the two seasons have been instrumental in putting Colorado back in the national conversation as one of the top football programs in the nation.

Saturday will be the final game as teammates, but their legacy has already been written and could put a bow with a strong performance.

Get to know BYU

This is the first time the Buffs and the Cougars play in a bowl game since the Freedom Bowl in Anaheim on December 29, 1988. BYU emerged victorious in a tightly-contested matchup, 20-17.

The Cougars were in pole position for the Big-12 Championship for most of the season until the last three games before ultimately missing out of the title game due to a tiebreaker.

BYU went 10-2 in the regular season and was led on offense by QB Jake Retzlaff and LB Isaiah Glasker on the other side of the ball. Retzlaff threw for 2,796 yards and twenty touchdowns. Glasker led the team in total tackles with 62.
