Straight out of H town, the Colorado Buffaloes have a new weapon and an offensive line potential explosion. Van Wells out of C.E. High school in Houston Texas has signed with the Buffs. He is a 3-star prospect, and outright beast. Wells was a district first team selection in his freshman, sophomore, and junior years in High School. His last season as a senior he was first team All Greater Houston by the Houston Chronicle. Colorado made him an offer back in mid December, come to find out it was an offer he couldn’t refuse. He made his first visit and January and today is with his signing officially a member of the CU Buffs.

The 6 foot 2, 290 pound lineman will join former Alabama transfer Tommy Wells, and newly signed fellow Texan Alex Harkey. They look to really take the pressure off whoever wins that quarterback slot. Offensive Coordinator Mike Sanford seems thrilled about the direction he has his boys headed in, and even more excited about Wells.

Wells told Buffstampede.com it was the coaching staff and their intentions for the future that made him want to go to Colorado. He believed in what they were running there and believed in new offensive line coach Kyle DeVan and head coach Karl Dorell, as well as the strength and conditioning head coach Shannon Turley. He wanted to be a part of that future, and now he will be.
Wells verbally committed to Colorado on Jan. 16th, today he signed his official letter of intent. Making the line of Boulder’s herd a lot more stronger than before. He believed in head coach Karl Dorrells system back then and is confident in the success of this teams future now.
