Well, Deion and Shedeur Sanders will certainly be watching the NFL draft on Day 2, and it is not because they are just waiting to see where Shilo Sanders will be picked. As many experts predicted, Shedeur did slip out of the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft and even had not just one, but two quarterbacks taken before him.
The New York Giants, a team that many thought was very high on Shedeur, ended up trading into the first round for a second pick and took Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart.
With Shedeur dropping out of the first round, college football fans everywhere are coming out of the woodwork to call out recaps they kept on certain things both Deion and Shedeur said before the draft.
Fan showed no mercy when it came to Shedeur slipping out of the first round

Shedeur posted this just hours before the draft kicked off, and it was meant to block out the noise of everyone around him, but now instead has turned into yet another thing fans can call him out on. The young quarterback will now have to wait through even more picks, as it is unknown who might take him.
Weird stat: Shedeur Sanders is 1st player in college football history to have his number retired & not be selected 5 days later in NFL Draft's 1st round

IT is no surprise that this one comes back up. There was a lot of backlash on both Deion and Shedeur for the retirement of his jersey at Colorado when he went 13-12 as a starter and didn't win any conference championships or National Championships with the program.

This is honestly kind of clever.

This tweet from 2024 is certainly coming back to haunt Deion Sanders now. Shedeur, at one point, was projected to go in the first round, even projected to go first overall, but now he has slipped to the second round, and fans certainly aren't going to let Deion forget it. Also, the fact that X (formerly known as Twitter) had to put the clarification at the bottom just adds more salt to the wound.
Round 2 isnβt LEGENDARY

It just feels like Shedeur just sets himself up for things like this all the time.
hilarious foreshadowing

Foreshadowing can be a funny thing.
The NFL Draft will resume for rounds two and three tomorrow night with the second round kicking off at 7:00 p.m. EST on ESPN.
