The Colorado Buffaloes' offseason has been quite the roller coaster ride so far, from signing their new offensive coordinator to losing a majority of their defense.

Players entering the NCAA transfer portal have wiped out Colorado's defensive side of the ball, leaving fans pessimistic about what Prime will do with the team in the future.

We have seen on X (formerly Twitter) that Colorado is focused on the defensive side of the ball, making offers to multiple defensive players on the first day the transfer portal was open.

As mentioned earlier, Andrew Zock received an offer from Colorado immediately Friday morning. Zock is an FCS All-American defensive lineman from Mercer who collected 21.5 sacks this past season.

There are extensive rebuilding efforts underway for Colorado's defensive line and defense as a whole. It should be no surprise that a majority of the offers and visits mentioned so far are on the defensive line.

Colorado needs to develop an identity in that position group since they haven't done well at stopping the run.

Bowling Green linebacker Gideon Lampron was one of the most notable offers on Friday afternoon.

Lampron is listed as a three-star on 247Sports after a stellar season with Bowling Green. He collected 119 tackles on the year, recording 2.5 sacks, 17.5 tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles, and one pass deflection.

Colorado has also setting up visits for Tulane edge Jordan Norman and New Mexico State defensive back Naeten Mitchell.

It is only the beginning for Colorado and the transfer portal is going to get heated up. That is an incredible amount of news in one day for Prime and his team as they look to rebound from a disappointing 3-9 campaign.
