Deion Sanders threw one former Colorado football player, who he didn't call out by name, under the bus for being ungrateful for something Shedeur Sanders did for him using NIL funds during a November 5 press conference.

“But his heart is phenomenal,” Sanders said. “I don’t know if you know it, but we had a guy — not going to call his name — jump into the portal I think this offseason that didn’t have furniture in his home. And he had an NIL deal but he didn’t have furniture, Shedeur bought him furniture. Loaded him up. He then jumped in the transfer portal, didn’t even say thank you, didn’t even say bye. But he don’t trip because he’s blessed enough to do it. But that’s who this young man is.”

Coach Prime turned the anecdote into a love fest for his son, the "Grown QB," Shedeur.

“And he’s always been — that’s why I call him grown,” Sanders said. “He’s always been mature for his age and for the stage of life that he’s in right now. He has a sense of humor, sense of maturity and he’s a phenomenal human being. I’m proud of him. I’m proud of him as a young man.

“I gotta give Shedeur a tremendous amount of credit for just the young man he is, away from the game. I know you guys see him doing his thang but he been doing that since high school, man. We’ve got footage, you got receipts on that. So that’s really who he is.”

Deion Sanders takes high road calling out former Colorado football players

Sanders didn't call the young man out by name and didn't even give any hints as to who the player was. Anonymity was respected.

The players that called Coach Prime and Shedeur out certainly didn't hold back. Some accused Coach Prime of purposefully destroying players' confidence in themselves. Gavin Kuld threw several shots at Shedeur.

Coach Prime doesn't call former players out by name. Shedeur has a different policy. But either way, "Prime Time" isn't expending the same amount of energies as its critics.
