From Travis Hunter to Shedeur Sanders, here's where we think Colorado's top players are expected to land in the 2025 NFL Draft—and why it will change everything for the teams who grab them.
This one’s for the Buffs fans who’ve been riding since the dark days. Can you imagine that we may have two players go in the Top-5 of the NFL Draft? For many years CU didn't have a single player taken.
Colorado is about to flood the league with swagger, speed, and serious playmakers. Let’s break down where I think these Buffs are headed—and what it’ll mean for the teams lucky enough to land them.
Travis Hunter – Cleveland Browns, Round 1, Pick 2

If the Browns pull the trigger on Travis Hunter at No. 2, they’re not just making a pick—they’re making a statement. Word around the league is that Cleveland's been eyeing Hunter for weeks, and the Heisman winner might’ve tipped his hand right back.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski isn’t shying away from the challenge of using a two-way phenom like Hunter. He called him “uniquely equipped to do both” and shared that Travis told him he’s up at 5 a.m. most mornings because he’s a fisherman—so time management won’t be an issue.
GM Andrew Berry reportedly sees Hunter more as a wideout, but Travis still wants to play both ways. And honestly, why wouldn’t you let him? He's a highlight reel on every snap—offense or defense.
It's not a flashy destination for Hunter, but Cleveland will be getting a culture changer. Someone who shows up early, works relentlessly, and makes your franchise relevant overnight.
The Browns might still be taking calls for that No. 2 pick, but if they hang on and bring Travis to The Land—watch out. This could be the start of something special.
Shedeur Sanders – New York Giants, Round 1, Pick 3

The Giants need a face of the franchise. They cannot overthink this. All week, reports are saying New York will take Abdul Carter, but I think they are bluffing.
Shedeur brings leadership, accuracy, and confidence. This isn’t just Deion’s son—this is a legit NFL quarterback. Pair him with a young WR core including Malik Nabors and New York might finally have their guy post-Eli.
This isn’t some gimmick pick. Shedeur is the most intriguing, most debated, and arguably most polarizing QB prospect in the entire 2025 NFL Draft. The Giants sent a private crew to Boulder this month to see him up close, and insiders say that meeting left a lasting impression. If they pull the trigger at No. 3, it’ll be a bold move—but the kind New York needs.
The New York media might eat him alive, but he's been groomed for this moment since he was a kid. Pressure is normal to him. And I hope the Giants take one of CU's playmaker receivers to make the transition a little easier for him.
The Other Buffs to get drafted
WR Jimmy Horn Jr. – Denver Broncos: The Mile High needs juice. Horn gives them a dynamic slot receiver and return threat.
WR Will Sheppard – Houston Texans: Big body, great hands. CJ Stroud just got another target.
WR LaJohntay Wester – Giants: Shedeur’s go-to guy. Chemistry off the charts.
S Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig – Baltimore Ravens: Underrated leader, perfect for a Ravens D that thrives on grit.
S Shilo Sanders – Dallas Cowboys: Big hits, bigger personality. Someone, Jerry Jones reaches to get in the late rounds. Feels like a Cowboy already.
DL BJ Green – Arizona Cardinals: Relentless motor, fearless off the edge. Arizona’s about to get a problem for opposing QBs.
