Colorado football podcaster Kevin Borba of the Locked On Buffs podcast didn't mention Deion Sanders entertaining the Florida Gators or Mississippi State jobs, because the thought of Coach Prime bringing his act to the SEC and dealing with boosters who won't give him autonomy over their programs is preposterous.

Instead, Borba brought up the very real possibilities of Sanders getting tired of coaching -- he has had numerous health problems after all, having several toes removed, and has dealt with endless and, at times, unfair media scrutiny -- or simply wanting to enjoy watching his sons play in the NFL.

Ultimately, though, Borba sees Sanders' pursuit of 2025 5-star QB Julian Lewis as a sign that he's "bought in on Boulder."

"This 2024-25 season end, people are going to be speculating that Deion Sanders is going to leave for the media or just leave to be a dad of his kids in the sense that he would he just wants to watch them play professionally," Borba said (h/t Essentially Sports).

“I think that’s still the biggest question so if he goes all in and is putting in maximum effort to get Julian Lewis to come to Boulder Colorado and to be a buff I think this kind of proves to Julian and all the recruits out there that coach Prime is bought in on Boulder."

Deion Sanders won't follow kids from Colorado football to NFL

From the sounds of it, Coach Prime is intent on paving his own path in Boulder instead of following his sons to the NFL; which might also include going to the sidelines to watch them.

"I'm a father, not a baby daddy," Sanders said (h/t Sports Illustrated). "I don't follow my kids. I pave roads for my kids. I build generational wealth for my kids. I lead my kids. I don't follow my kids. So, I do not plan on following my kids to the NFL. But I'm thankful, I'm glad that you already pretty much put them in the NFL. That means you believe in them wholeheartedly."

Sanders could always make Sunday visits to the sidelines of wherever his sons end up since the Buffs play on Saturdays. Just a thought.
