Paul Finebaum, the guy who had some pretty rough things to say about Colorado football walking into the season, is now down to clearing the air out between him and Deion Sanders' Buffs after a 3-1 start.

In his recent sit down with Matt Barrie on his show, Finebaum confessed that he did not have a problem with Sander. Instead he had a problem with Stephen A. Smith.

"My biggest beef last week wasn't with Prime. It was with Stephen A. Smith defending Prime. So I can live with that." Finebaum said on the Matt Barrie show.

Additionally, to save himself from some hot incoming criticism, he already made it clear that his comments were about Deion Sanders' off-field happenings.

"My criticism of Prime primarily has been his comments," Finebaum said.

Phew. Finebaum is finally shaking it off and going in with a white flag with Coach Prime after all the burning hot words he flung right at Sanders this past month.

Paul Finebaum vs. Deion Sanders: A whole damn show

It'd be understandable if you had grabbed some popcorn and tuned into the Deion Sanders-Paul Finebaum drama given the steady stream of shots fired from both sides. Some sharp jabs were exchanged after Finebaum first called Colorado's football program "irrelevant" in the CFB and conference title landscape; something that he continues to stand with.

Sanders promptly replied to him, calling his program "hot," since "a fan only blows when you hot ... so we must be hot." If that was not all, Sanders rubbed some salt on Finebaum's wounds calling him a "dying breed" who is using their popularity to stay 'relevant' by talking about them.

While Finebaum didn't play his cards by directly replying to Sanders' comments, he threw some shade at him by predicting that Sanders won't stay too long in Colorado. The reason? Shedeur Sanders and top-star Travis Hunter are moving to the NFL.

"This season, when they fail to go to a bowl game, he's going to look around and try to find an exit strategy," Finebaum said in the offseason. "No more Travis, no more Shedeur. What's the motivation for him to beat himself up?"

Sanders didn't spare him an answer this time. Instead, they pulled off their clash against Baylor with a last-minute miraculous Hail Mary TD, making Finebaum come clean about his beef with Sanders, and leaving him speechless.

Let's see what Finebaum's opinion is when Colorado has a bad day now, though.
