The narrative of Deion Sanders being distant from his team is hard to believe. Sure, some may think so and have reasons to believe that's the truth considering what former Buff Xavier Smith had to say not too long ago.

Luckily, Prime Time is supported by media personality "Uncle Neely." The two have created a bond like never before as Neely follows Sanders around, giving an inside scoop on what's going on within the Colorado football program.

Neely voiced his thoughts about the rumors, saying, "they are wrong again."

“If you go to his camp you won’t see him, Uncle Neely said (h/t Essentially Sports). "They say if you see him, he won’t speak. They say if he speaks, he won’t coach you. They are wrong again about Coach Prime."

Uncle Neely is the one person who would know the truth about the entire situation; he literally documents what Sanders does as needed. Not only Sanders but the players too. Both guys formed a relationship that stems all the way back to the Jackson State days -- and when Coach Prime was offered the Colorado gig, Neely said it was a decision "he didn't lose any sleep making."

Uncle Neely has high praise for Deion Sanders

Uncle Neely furthers his explanation, stating that Sanders is "a man amongst the people." There shouldn't be any reason to try and combat this argument because if it's not a close friend or family member, Neely would arguably be considered the next closest person in Prime Time's life.

“They have this notion because Deion Sanders is a celebrity….that he is he’s distant from his players or you not going to get to know him and have a relationship with him," Uncle Neely prefaced before saying, 'He’s out there coaching these kids. From critiquing at the elite level to instructing younger players. Please don’t think that he’s up in some Ivory Tower and you can’t talk to him. He’s a man amongst the people.”

Yes, Sanders is popular; he was in the NFL once upon a time, but he's also someone who cares about this football team, too. If getting two toes amputated just to continue coaching doesn't mean anything, then what does?

Anything can be said at the end of the day, however, if you're going to listen to them, make sure to consider the thoughts and statements of the ones who are closest to the subject. In this case, Uncle Neely.
